Production of Iranian car Miniator to start next year
Tehran, Dec 13, IRNA - Iranian car called Miniator will be marketed next year, announced managing director of Saipa Auto-manufacturing Group in Tehran on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the ceremony to unveil the fully domestic-made car, Mehrdad Bazrpash added that the pre-sales of the sedan will begin in February.
Miniator will be produced in Kashan Saipa Factory with a capacity of 200,000 units annually, Bazrpash said. "The price of the car will certainly be less than 100 million rials, but we will try to lower the price to less than 90 million rials," he said.
The car will have duel-fuel system, he said, noting that its safety devices is better than those installed in Pride sedan. It is equipped with air bag, he pointed out. Bazrpash noted that the product has been made completely by Iranian experts.

TEHRAN, Dec. 13 (ISNA)-Iranian car producer SAIPA on Saturday unveiled a new all-Iranian car “Miniator” in a ceremony which President Ahmadinejad participated in.
Miniator is comprised of 810 parts, its engine works with 80 horse-powers and burns less than 7 liters in 100 kls.

producer, SAIPA, unveiled its new car, the Miniator (Miniature), in the presence

Mehrdad Bazrpash, SAIPA managing director, vowed to bring the car to showrooms in the first half of the next Iranian calendar year (to begin on March 22, 2009), MNA reported.
Miniator with has a reasonable price is aimed at giving poorer consumers a chance to own a car, he said.
Bazrpash said that Miniator will be manufactured in Kashan SAIPA plant which is expected to have a capacity to produce 200,000 cars a year.
